Get know the incident in her own words- A few years ago, when I was shooting for a Telugu film in Hyderabad, I was driving back to the hotel late in the evening when I spotted a stray dog that was left to die on the roads. It\u00e2\u0080\u0099s possible that some vehicle hit it. My heart was bleeding at the sight of the poor dog, so I immediately stopped the car and I rushed him to Blue Cross where he was administered first aid. I couldn\u00e2\u0080\u0099t get this dog out of my mind, so I brought him with me to Chennai later and named him Cadbury. <\/em><\/p>\n

So, PETA officials heard about it and approached her.<\/p>\n

The animal rights group has signed up her as their latest ambassador. The actress has been chosen as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Angel for Animals campaign.<\/p>\n

So, listen please, celebrities. Save a dog or a cat. Never forget to announce it.<\/p>\n
