History of Aromatherapy

Archeologists believe that Egypt is the birthplace of use of perfumes and aroma in therapy. Various pictures shows that Egyptians discovered the healing effects of plant oils and they also use these oils to enhance their beauty. It is also believed that this technique was spread from Egypt to Greece, Rome, Israel, and other parts of the world.

These essential oils were used in the mummification and embalming process.
