Poland is chiefly a low lying area. The lack of mountain barriers within the country makes for a few climatic contrasts. Rolling green pastures extend across a wide spread area of central and southern parts of the country. In the south east, the voluminous central ridge of the Carpathians penetrates Poland where the border takes a meander southward into a splendid glaciated vista of the Tatra Mountains.

1) Polin Museum offering the history of the Polish Jews:

Here in this well archived museum, the Jewish history of Poland is exhibited in the most organized and refined manner. The museum is a state of the art collection center, which is very educative and interactive as well. The interior and exterior decor is visually very impressive. To explore the museum in its entirety, a tourist needs at least three hours. In between, he may have breaks at the cafeteria, sip coffee and again continue his quest. The museum is one of the key attractions in Warsaw.

2) Lazienki Park:

This is a unique park of its kind and never to be missed by any chance. This park is also known as the Royal Park. Located almost a kilometer away from the central part of Warsaw, this park is quite large and well groomed with trees and shrubbery planted in a neat alignment. You do not have to pay any entrance fee for visiting the park. We strongly advise you to draw your itinerary in such a way that you do not miss the classical musical programs organized on selected days and that too free of cost! If you are a health freak, go for a jogging around the park covering 7 km in a single lap.

This is an imposing building constructed by the Russians way back in 1950. This building is a testimony to the greatness of the communist regime that ruled Poland once. This is a must see tourist attraction and is clearly visible from almost all parts of the capital for its immense size. It offers a pleasant panoramic view to the tourists visiting the building.

4) Old Town Market Square:

This Square is located right adjacent to the tourist bureau and the coordinates are just perfect for the tourists to get an easy access to this spectacular tourist haunt. Very neatly preserved and cozy, this place is a hot favorite for the tourists who come here regularly in large numbers. During winter with Christmas bells chiming in the air and the biggest Christian festival knocking at the door, the market square wears a glamorous look with stalls and kiosks flooded with Christmas merchandise.

5) Saxon Park:

This Park provides a great landscape strewn with fountains and flower beds all around. Breath taking sculptures in Romanian style have been carved out of rock by nameless rock sculptors. The overall ambiance is awesome, and you can spend the whole day right here taking photographs of the spectacular park area.

6) Copernicus science centre:

This is a big attraction in Warsaw drawing children and adults as well for its scientific exhibits and live demonstrations. This centre is a great educational exposure for the children. They can feed their inquisitive minds with different scientific gadgets and devices whose working explains the laws of physics, chemistry and natural science. The centre is well maintained and care is taken to see that the gadgets are regularly attended and they function properly.  Polish have a rich cultural heritage in music, literature and film making that has been encouraged through generations. In the field of science and technology as well their contributions are well acknowledged worldwide.

Copernicus science centre is a full scale revelation of the fact that you would instantly realize once you set foot in its premises. Experiencing a piano concert or a starry night concert in the auditorium would be an added bonus and for this you need to book seats for the program well in advance. This centre is ideal for a family visit and you will be overjoyed to see your kids getting fascinated by all the gimmicks this centre offers. It is so spooky you must not visit it if you have been suffering from claustrophobic disorders getting a dread from confinement of close quarters. The trip through the horror house can be equated with a viewing a combination of spine chilling movies all at one go and interacting with the terrifying characters having grotesque faces and hideously deformed body parts. The props are very real giving you enough of the Halloween shocker you might have sleepless nights afterwards. It is a part of a never ending slow motion nightmare that will give you a dose of genuine thrill. After all, it is clean fun and unleashed entertainment!

9) Castle Square – Plac Zamkowe:

This attractive tourist hotspot is located right in the heart of the city. The Royal castle is imposing standing erect in all glory. The statue of King Sigmund III is an exquisite piece of sculpture done with brilliance. Castle square is one of the most wonderful places in Warsaw and you can take a leisurely stroll in and around the place with your body rejuvenated and mind refreshed.
King Sigmund had enormous contributions towards making Warsaw the capital city of Poland. It would be just great to take some photographs of this regal personality. The square is always bustling with life. There are splendid examples of historical monuments and buildings all around. The architectural style is eye catching. There is an opportunity for fine dining as good eateries are galore. Just step in and order your choice of food and wine. Authentic Polish food and wine is served at a moderate price.
