Amazing places in Romania - Bigar waterfall, Romania

The remarkable falls which are covered with moss are located in the woods of the Anina Mountains and they are formed by a subversive water spring that spills out into the Minis River. It is called as `the wonder of Minis Canyon`, as it is unique in the world because of the way its waterfalls. It is located in Banat, on Minis Valley, at Gura Poneasca, that is where the road meets the fantasy Parallel 45. This wonder may go unnoticed if you drive fast on the roadside. The World Geography publication announced that the Bigar Cascade Fall from Caras-Severin in Romania is one of the most stunning waterfalls; it is stunning with its spectacular way of the water that spreads in thousands of tiny threads on the green moss covered hill. It creates an elegant water veil.

Along with the beautiful veil of the bigar waterfalls the tourists also have another attraction that is the artificial Lake which is on the Minis valley, Pestera Buhui (Buhui Cave) and Buhui Lake. The tourists can get place to accommodate in Anina town or Resita town, it is accessible by roads all through the year. One of the greatest attractions is Cheile Minisului from Banatul Montan. The Romanians are actually unaware of most of the places that are there in Romania. Another name of the Bigar waterfall is Coronini, which was named after the 19th century Banat region governor Johann Baptist Coronini-Cronberg.

There is a spa locality in Romania which is one of the oldest and most famous one, called Baile Herculane; it is also located in Caras-Severin County. There are many activities that the tourists can enjoy in the beautiful place of waterfalls. There are many passionate travelers who love to come here and enjoy the scenic view and take pleasure in river rafting, canyoning, mountain climbing, waterfall descents, paintball, biking and motor biking, snowboarding, scientific tourism, spa tourism, hunting, fishing and railroad tourism which is on the oldest railroad in the country, at  the Anina-Oravita route.

The place has a special climate that is not found in the other places of the country. The climate is mild, temperate continental sort along with some sub Mediterranean attributes as well as Adriatic climate. At the same time, the Caras-Severin County is blessed with an attention-grabbing mix of population with the Romanians, Serbians, Croatians, Hungarians, Germans, Roma and Ukrainians. They all have been living in harmony for centuries; everyone has contributed to the times gone by and the traditions of the region. With all its beauty Bigar waterfalls are a must see for any tourist.
