Most amazing and inexpensive European cities

These amazing European destinations will offer you everything from an exquisite culture, fashion and fine dining experience in an intimate way.  However, the best thing is that these cities offer all the best experiences at the best price, which makes it very affordable.

Birmingham, U.K.

This city is a haven for food enthusiasts as it has amazing contemporary cuisine and is home to multiple Michelin-started restaurants across the United Kingdom!  Therefore, “Brum” as Birmingham is fondly called by the Britishers provides you the best contemporary architecture and food and is almost next to London when it comes to gastronomy.  The town is more engaged in locally sourced produced and innovative cooking.

Antwerp, Belgium

Antwerp is an inland port that is extremely stylish and excellent.  There is an element of playfulness in the city, be it a fashion model or the quirky dressing sense of the locals or even the amazingly innovative design of the Museum Aan de Stroom.  Antwerp is the second biggest port in Europe.  The best place to visit for art lovers would be the Zuid district where you can visit the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.

Porto, Portugal

Porto cannot be compared to its busy neighbor, lisbon, which apparently is the capital city too!  Porto is the city from where the name Portugal is derived and is a place that is creating quite a buzz with its art scene, public markets innovative buildings.  Porto is a great producer of wine with some fabulous Ports.  In fact, you will find Porto’s affinity with wine though its unique wine corks designs that are spread across the city.

Milan, Italy

Milan, even though it is the fashion capital of the world, can provide you some great affordable shopping destinations too!  Milan is a city that has Leonardo da Vinci’s second popular painting and also has the greatest opera company in the world.  Tourists who prefer visiting Rome, Venice and Florence often miss Milan; however, Milan is equally great for art lovers.  The Duomo is an amazing Gothic cathedral and so is the Parco Sempione.

Summary:

The popular destinations in Europe are considered an extravagance that not many can afford, however, little is known that these “second cities” offer an affordable e and equally pleasurable tourism experience.  Although, these cities might seem quite quaint and boring, they should not be taken at face value, as such places often offer greater prospects of adventure.
