Travelling might become a nightmare if you have to deal with bed bugs throughout the journey. Bed bugs can send shiver to many of you so it is better to deal with them. It is better to stay away from cheap hotels and motels. Cheap resorts and hotels have high tendency of bug ridden beds.

Searching the room

When you enter into a hotel room, check for bugs beneath the mattress and side of the bed. It is also advisable to carry a bug killer so you can cope with adverse circumstances. There are many portable types of eradicator in the market so you can choose them accordingly. Just make sure that you choose the right spray. Also look for fecal stains of bugs in the room. If you find any of them then it is better to change the room. You can also ask the housekeeping service to change the mattress if you have any doubts.

In spite of all the preventive measure, you cannot be sure of a bug free trip. So it is much better to take some precautions at early stage. Keep medicines and lotions in case of emergencies. It is also advisable to take medical advice If you are bitten by the bug on the trip. If you are unlucky, then there are high chances that you will get yourself into trouble. If you are bitten by bed bug, do not scratch the itch. Instead, go to a doctor immediately. If you are travelling in a tropical area then there are more chances that you will have to face bed bugs. Pre packing tips should give you a detailed outline on how to prepare for worst circumstances. Always carry a medicine for emergencies since you cannot get medical assistance everywhere.  It is also essential that you must have a thorough knowledge about the bed bugs so you can differentiate them from other insect. If you find yourself affected by insect bite, it is better tom change the room instantly. Before checking in, consult the manager about the condition of the room. You can also ask for bug treatment if you have o stay in a cheap motel. Sometimes it is better to be on the preventative side rather than spoiling your whole trip.
