A vision is a revelation, it is not something that we simply just see and experience with our eyes. A vision is clearer than a dream, more real because the person who visualizes it can feel it as if it were tangible.
To merely see something and yet have no vision is in reality, an actual handicap. Such a person sees, he has no dreams or cannot feel them and thus, does not make an effort to turn them into a reality either. The world is a better place because a few brave men had a vision, they were all inspirational leaders who worked hard on their vision and led other people towards achieving that common dream as well. Many a times , people hope but do not take action. To them it is just a wish. Neither do they strive to achieve it, neither do they have the capability to. A leader with a vision inspires others to take positive action and work with passion and zeal , he does not dictate, but motivates. A vision is the first step towards anything that one wants to achieve, it is the only hope for a greater future.
- A Life without a purpose – One who does not have a dream and a vision leads a hollow life. He merely exists. He is incapable of imagining a better life for him and for his family. He attracts negativity as well as sends out negative vibes. Even if anyone tries to take positive action, he will ridicule that person and try to bring him down because to him, nothing is possible. He thinks the visionaries are flying too high, he becomes a vessel of impotence and pessimism. He blocks all positivity and in turn blocks others’ positivity as well. He stunts his own growth as well as others’ growth. “A man without a vision is a man without a future. A man without a future will always return to his past”.
- A man with a vision – When you have a vision that is so clear in your mind that you can almost touch it, you will be surprised to find how life actually works out in your favor to achieving that vision. You give out positive energy and in turn, all positive things come to you. When you have a vision, the strategy in achieving it also works out fine for you. When you have a vision that is so compelling, people would be inspired by you and want to help you out in achieving it .
- Foresight, Insight and Oversight – To have foresight is to have a plan . You have seen your future and you now possess the ability to predict it. And the only way you make sure what you predicted is right is to make a definite plan how to go about it. Insight is to have the true understanding of a situation, in this case it is you yourself. You know your capabilities, your potential, only you know yourself , no one else does. Think over what you are doing right now, think over as if you were thinking about another person, from a distance. To have an insight into yourself, to have an epiphany makes you aware of what you are truly capable of. This gets you one step closer to the vision that you have in your mind and how you would set forth to achieve it. A lot of mistakes are made because of oversight. When you have a vision, make sure you do not oversee flaws in it. It should be clear to you, never be in two minds about anything.
- Practical Implementation – Everyone has dreams but due to myopic vision, they remain just that and do not convert into reality. The differentiating line between a vision and a fantasy is very thin . Make sure your vision is practical and you possess the necessary passion and zeal to achieve it. People shy away from their dreams because they think they are impractical. Why not make an effort to make a study and find out? A vision should be coherent and you should make all efforts into having an action plan and going forth with it. A true vision for a better future will automatically attract others into sharing it with you because it is so real , so powerful that all of them want to envisage a better future along with you too.
- Believe in yourself – So many men and women have not achieved because they had dreams but did not believe in them. A vision might seem too big for us sometimes, unattainable perhaps but we need to remind ourselves to just be brave and take the first step. Work towards achieving your dreams and out in unrelenting effort, everything else will follow.
