Sense Prevails as we grow up
Childhood is indeed the best phase of life. The major reason that is so is because childhood is the age of innocence. As one grows up, sense prevails, and slowly and gradually, common sense prevails as well. You may be the most popular stud in your school but on growing up you will realise that popularity isn’t all that that matters. You need real caring and concerned friends in life. This will get even harder if you are a public figure. For, people might want to become friends with you so that they get popular themselves. You will have to be careful about all these things.
It isn’t easy to find real friends in a materialistic world like today. However, real friends are very easy to spot. They will stand by you in the toughest of times and never give you a cold shoulder. You will be surprised to find that they will never leave your side, no matter what happens and this is the sign of true friendship. You must never go off a friend like this one. For, such friends are rare gems and are extremely difficult to find. It takes a gazillion years to find a friend like that one.
However, friendship is a 2 way deal. If your friend stands by you then you shall have to stand by your friend as well. Friendship is never a one sided thing. Nobody wants a lope sided friendship. If you want someone to be a true friend of yours then you also will have to be a true friend of theirs.
This is how it works and you should never think of it at any other way. For, both you and your friend will have to stand up for each other in the toughest of time ever. Your friendship will then go a long way.
If you are jealous of that dude who has tons of people to hang around with all the time then don’t be. For, no one will stand by that dude from the tons of people in the times of trouble. However, your one friend is going to do you that favour every time you need him or her. After all, more than anything else, everyone needs a friend that they can count on every time they are in trouble. Otherwise, things are going to get more than difficult for a person who has tons and tons of friends and is still alone.
More Friends isn’t Good but Real Friends is
No one wants to be that person. However, it is the realty of today. Everyone is more than 100 friends on social networking sites. Some of them even have more than a thousand few friends on social networking sites. However, this isn’t good not if you don’t have a single friend in real life and are alone and lonely. Friends aren’t a tool to show off. They are supposed to be around you when you need them and take care of you when required. Therefore, make sure that you have good friends and true friends.
Even if you have just 1 friend and if he or she is ready to stand by you, under all circumstances amidst all troubles then, you have literally everything in the world and have nothing to worry about. The best of diamonds aren’t more worthy than a best friend who you can entirely trust with everything. If you have a friend and he or she and you are like 2 peas in a pod then you are truly blessed and you really do not need anything else in life. You know you can easily live your life knowing that your friend will stand by you.
If you have someone to share your happiness and sadness with apart from your spouse then, you have the best of life. You literally do not need anything else. Take cue from the best of Hollywood and Bollywood films. Those who have had best friends have survived the toughest of circumstances on the basis of their trustworthy friendship. The love and bond of friendship is like that of no other. Thus, if you have found true friends who love you without any conditions then you must keep them safely locked in your heart forever.
It is only the lucky ones who find such great friends. Yes, it seems cool during school and college days when everyone knows you and calls out on you. However, as you grow up you will realise that those people and those feelings are all empty and you will need a bit more than that to count on. You don’t have to be everyone’s friend or Ms or Mr Popular. It is a very shallow feeling. However, at a later point in life, you will realise that it is indeed more important to have real friends rather than befriend the whole school.
