Fill life with power of persistence

Patience

Remember school folks? Well, I am sure you all do. Some loved it, some hated it, and however, nobody can forget the experience of school. However, there is one point of complain that I still have with school.

Not that it is the fault of the moderators; nevertheless, I feel certain things were taught too early and too fast for all of us to grasp that at the same time. Make no mistake; it is a great thing to learn important lessons about life at school. However, personally, some lessons must be repeated in order to imprint some of the subtle qualities in the latter years.

In any event, we are all well aware of the proverb ‘What you cannot cure, you must endure’. Well, the topic of discussion may not automatically convert to the natural meaning, but stay with me here.

Coming back to the discussion, we all know that endurance or persistence is a very hard job. Taking on something and staying on until it succeeds takes more than just a normal hang of the things.

For example, long back while at school, you may have played some sort of a game. Now we all know that a game must have a side, which loses, and a side, which wins. Therefore, you were in the losing side of it.

So what really? Since life has given you the opportunity to play, why let the imp control it? Instead of being grumpy about it, why not double the hard work and determination in order to succeed in your endeavors?

Yes, I know that these words are easier said than done. Nevertheless, we human beings have the special gift called a life. Therefore, why waste wallowing in self-pity?

Stop the Game of Comparison

Look mates, we are all different. Neither two fingers of a hand are same nor are two human beings the same, even if they might be identical twins, per se. So stop comparing yourself or anybody for that matter with yourself.

Every person is different and every person has a different set of qualities, which sets them apart from each other. So what if were in the losing side once? Instead of trying to analyze what the other team did, focus upon you and your own.

Moreover, the trick is really not to analyze any of it, but making sure that you go ahead and play, even if that means that people will catcall. After all, I am sure Newton was made fun of in his days. Just remember to laugh along with the others, when they laugh at you. That speaks loads about your moral character!

The Magic of Adjustment and Change of Approach

Come on now folks, I do not have to highlight how important it is to accommodate with others when you are trying to achieve something!

Even when you think you did something all by yourself, just try to remember how somebody helped you, in whatever small way it be. The synonym of life at all levels is certainly adjustment.

So why be a snob about it? Why not take people with you and try to run, instead of running alone all the time? Even when Sir Edmund Hillary measured Mount Everest, he took Tenzing Norgay with him for help and support. In addition, do not underestimate the power of prominent figures of your life, just appreciate them and watch how your endeavor for perseverance gets an upper hand.

As far as approach goes, come on ladies and gentlemen, when has attitude in vain ever taken somebody anywhere? Instead of beating your head about everything that is not happening or going wrong, just appreciate what you have in life and what is going right. Just reverse the situation and try to think, would you have liked it if somebody showed unnecessary and uncalled for attitude?

It is like Mr. Incredible in The Incredibles (movie). He kept whining about his life and just wanted to throw everything away. What he failed to understand for a very long time was; he was missing on some many of the adventures had he stuck on to his family.

Guess something just works better, when you almost lose it. So stop being a moron folks and just handle things right!

Keeping a Goal and Working on it

Remember the Deathly Hallows? Well, if not, time for some serious Harry Potter study.

You see, think of yourself as Harry and your enemy is of course Voldemort. However, Voldemort has his grip on more courses of life than one.

Moreover, make no mistake; neither Hallows nor your problems are a picnic on the beach. Therefore, what you can do is, no matter what, keep tracking down the seven Deathly Hallows, one by one and destroy them.

Even for destruction of problems in all stations of your life, it is rather important to keep track of what your purpose if at the end of it. If your goal is to succeed in whatever you are working on, you will have to keep at it, just like Harry did.

In addition, remember, Harry was an orphan and had only a couple of friends with him. He truly understood their importance, you should do the same. You might not have to live in trees or stay hungry for several days, but your aim to achieve something and destroy obstacles will work best if you do not leave it mid-way.

The Last Straw

Overall, what is important to remember is every lesson that was taught at school. At the base of it, do not forget some amount of teamwork. Teamwork is rather important because as soon as you feel like quitting, it might be your team members who help you to motivate and vice versa. Moreover, motivation my friend is extremely important in order to keep at it.

Moreover, a team is not just you and your work mates. A team is also your spouse, your kids and everyone who cares about you.

Therefore, the next time whatever you are trying to do fails, just make sure that you unwind, wallow for some time, but when you emerge, the others should take a cue from you!
