All of us dream about owning the perfect home one day and often build castles in the air but very few people give an earnest thought to the importance of architecture when they assign someone to come up with a floor plan.
It is easy to indulge in fantasy when we start pondering about the place we would like to call home, but hard to think practically how the architect will imagine things that are not there and then realize them until they are, in brick and mortar.
The sweep and span of structures that we live in and move about everyday can influence not just our mood and psyche, they have a significant impact on our physical well-being simultaneously. A well-designed structure has the ability to transform space and can make a relatively small area appear larger by incorporating smart ideas in architecture. By using the right color schemes and proper lighting, an architect can change our perception of dimensions and make everything appealing even while being constricted to a small budget and utilizing only eco-friendly materials. Understanding and adjusting to people’s expectations can limit the freedom of creativity but a good architect can accomplish it by being judicious.
